Alain Kerfs

Alain Kerfs was a Writer-In-Residence at the Eugene O'Neill House.

Born in Brussels, Belgium, Alain immigrated to the United States as an infant. Taught heavily accented English by French- and Dutch-speaking parents, he spent his first year in an American public school relearning English. He has been writing stories since elementary school, where his first stories were knock-offs of Curious George and Tom Swift. He attended the MFA Creative Writing program at San Francisco State. He enjoys mentoring others in fiction writing.
